Learn how to start, grow, and manage your small business in November. Sandhills Community College Small Business Center is committed to helping small businesses grow by providing high-quality, readily accessible assistance and support to increase the success rate and number of viable small businesses throughout North Carolina. Experts in the field will guide students through starting, financing, planning, and marketing their small businesses. Unless otherwise noted, classes are free and will be held on the Pinehurst campus in Van Dusen Hall, room 102.

"The Crucible Entrepreneurial Workshop" is a four-part workshop series. Designed for transitioning service members, veterans, and their spouses, The Crucible is where you can listen and learn tough lessons from experienced entrepreneurs. Bring your notebooks and ideas to develop skills for conceiving, creating, and communicating your startup idea. This class will be held on Tuesday, November 5, Thursday, November 7, Tuesday, November 12, and Thursday, November 14, from 1-3 pm.

"QuickBooks Online 102" is part two of this series; discover advanced topics on managing accounts receivable and payable and how to reconcile small business bank accounts. Basic computer knowledge is required. This class will be held Monday, November 4, from 1-3 pm at the Hoke Center.

"Grant Management" will teach you how to write a grant, which is essential to many nonprofits and entrepreneurs, but what happens after you receive the grant? Join Sandra Dales as she shares how to properly manage grant funding. This class will be held on Wednesday, November 6, from 1-3 pm.

"The Future is AI-RRIVING" is designed for professionals who are seeking ways to optimize their productivity and efficiency using the power of AI tools. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to leverage various AI-powered tools to streamline their workflows, automate tedious tasks, and make informed decisions. This class will be held on Thursday, November 7, from 6-8 pm.

"Financial Statements" will teach you how to prepare and read Profit and Loss Statements, Cash Flow Statements, and Balance Sheets. Understanding how to utilize these reports to make financial decisions for your business can assist with projecting and forecasting the future success of your business. This class will be held on Monday, November 18, from 1-3 pm at the Hoke Center.

In "Write a Winning Business Plan," learn how to turn your small business ideas into a solid plan for long-term success. Learn how marketing, operations, and finance are interrelated. Discover how potential lenders use a business plan and steps to make the process easy. This class will be held on November 25. form 1-3 pm at the Hoke Center.
