Committees are integral to the effective governance and operation of the College. To facilitate faculty and staff participation in shared governance, the College maintains standing committees with membership reviewed and assigned annually by the President’s Office. Committee composition is determined based on faculty and staff positions relevant to the committee’s purpose and to ensure representation across campus departments.

Certain committee assignments are permanent, as determined by employee positions, while others follow a structured, three-year rotation. Each committee has designated leadership, including a chair, vice-chair, and historian, responsible for guiding committee activities.

All committees are expected to convene at least once annually and to maintain official minutes of each meeting.

The formation of any new campus-wide committee must be approved by the President’s Office. A formal proposal—stating the name of the proposed committee, its purpose statement, and essential roles—must first be submitted to the President’s Office for review and approval.
