Elementary Education Licensure (C55490)
The state of North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) collaborated with the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) to develop the Cultivating Carolina Classrooms program to鈥痯rovide鈥痑 streamlined opportunity in the community college that simplifies, aligns, and accelerates the pathway to elementary education licensure for people who have completed a bachelor鈥檚 degree and have obtained a鈥痯osition with a school system.鈥

Sandhills Community College has joined the Cultivating Carolina Classrooms initiative and is now an鈥疦CDPI-approved Educator Preparation Program (EPP)鈥痑vailable to Moore and Hoke County educators seeking residency licensure. The鈥痜ollowing components will be part of the program:
- Fully online coursework
- One-on-one mentoring and coaching with experienced K-6 educators
- Revolving Fall enrollment鈥
- Support for the Praxis and edTPA
