Explore a world of culinary delights at 91影视, from mastering the art of mixology in our bartending class to perfecting the craft of mouthwatering flatbreads. Savor the flavors of Mexican cuisine and indulge in sensational cheesecakes or craft impressive charcuterie boards; there's something for every skill level. Join us this march on a flavorful journey.

"Bartending" will teach you the basics of bartending as a profession or for leisure. Topics include popular mixed drinks, wine, utensils, glassware, fruit cutting, bar procedures, and ABC laws. Held Saturdays, March 2-23, from 9 am-3 pm, this class will cost $75. 

In "Flatbreads for the Home Baker," you will learn to make both Naan Bread accompanied by a Roasted Garlic Hummus and a crisp flatbread that we will use to create a Balsamic Caramelized onion and Goat cheese pizza. Held Monday, March 11, from 5-8 pm, this class will cost $100. 

In "Mexican Dishes," students will join Chef Everts in making some delicious Mexican dishes. We will start with huevos rancheros, sopes with beans, and one with chorizo. We will make chicken fajitas with homemade flour tortillas for the last dish. Held Tuesday, March 12, from 5:30-7:30 pm, this class will cost $75. 

"Sensational Cheesecakes" is a two-day class; we will explore the best way to make a sensational cheesecake that will be the talk of your next gathering. We will make three 6-inch cheesecakes for you to enjoy: traditional with a blueberry compote & streusel topping, chocolate cheesecake with red wine caramel, and a peanut butter swirl cheesecake with a dark chocolate ganache. On day one, we will create and cool our cheesecakes overnight, while on day two, we will add the finishing touches. Held Monday and Tuesday, March 25 & 26, from 5-7:30 pm, this class will cost $150.  

In "Charcuterie Creations," you will learn tips and tricks for creating beautiful and delicious charcuterie displays sure to impress your guests! Discover new ways to present your charcuterie for large groups as well as individual servings. Take home your own unique creations! Held Tuesday, March 26, from 5:30-7:30 pm, this class will cost $75.

Spring 8-Week Session

Continuing Education classes begin throughout the semester. New and returning students do not need to apply to the College; simply register for classes. The spring 8-week session of curriculum classes begins March 11. For all information, go to www.sandhills.edu/learn.

New students taking curriculum/college credit classes must apply before registering. Sandhills has an open-door policy, which means all applicants are accepted. On www.sandhills.edu, new students can find the application at the top right. Returning or current students can register by using Self-Service located on 91影视. 

Boys & Girls Club

A Boys & Girls Club unit is offered on the Sandhills campus. It runs from 2:30 to 6:30 pm for kindergarten through fifth grade. The club is ideal for parents/guardians taking SCC afternoon or evening classes, those who need study time, need to utilize the computer lab, or work on projects. Club participants will receive homework assistance, and dinner is offered. The cost is $40 per child per year. The club provides transportation from McDeeds Creek, Farm Life, and Carthage Elementary schools.

In addition, drop-in services are available free of charge to Sandhills students from 6-9 pm. This is ideal for students taking afternoon or evening classes, working on group projects, or for other academic reasons.
